Welcome to our home in Québec City
Discover Quebec City like I discovered it 20 years ago
My name is Jolanta. I am from Warsaw, the capital of Poland, Starowka, the old town of Warsaw. In Poland, I studied law with the hope of one day to become a judge in order to fight the corruption of the communist regime that reigned in my country. But destiny decided otherwise. One day, I took a big boat, Batory, and said goodbye to the place of my birth. After traveling to several European countries, I crossed the ocean and settled down in Ottawa, the capital of Canada. It was in 2000 that I undertook a short trip to visit Quebec City only for 3 days. My trip is taking longer than expected. We are today in 2020 and I am still here today! I love the city, I love the place, and I love to receive you ! If you like the architecture, if you like the history and if you like the beauty, leave all the tasks behind you as I did and come for a short visit to Quebec City to get to know the most beautiful place in North America!

House History:
4 stars B&B Castel D'Amérique Française
Welcomes you to our genuine ancestral Manor built in 1860 by the famous architect Charles Baillargé for Pierre Baillargeron (1812-1891), doctor, dentist and then the senator.Pierre was the brother of Mgr. Charles-François Baillargeon (1798-1870), sixteenth bishop and third archbishop of Québec. Both of them were native of l’Île-aux-Grues. The son of Pierre Baillargeon, Jules (1850-1945), wine importer, and his wife Atala Gourdeau (1858-1943), succeeded him. They broght up 8 children in this home. When his parents passed away, 5 daughters, Blanche, Julienne, Jeanne, Yvette and Marguerite, continued to live here until the departure of the youngest one in 1996.
